Dear Parents,

As you know, Cobb County schools are closed until further notice.  Addison’s 2nd grade teachers have come up the following plan to assure you that your student continues to learn the 2nd grade standards.
Each day at or before 9:00AM, that day’s assignments will be posted to Class Story in Dojo.  Teachers will be available for assistance through Dojo and email between 9:00 and 10:30 M-F.  Your child may need the following information to access the assignments. Cobb County’s policy is that students in K-2 have no more than a total of 1 hour of assignments per day.  Please feel free to supplement the daily assignments with math games through CoolMath or other online websites.
Most online textbook assignments will be accessed through Clever. Go to www.clever.com, click “Log in as a Student”, then “Log in Through Active Directory”.  There might be an “uh oh” message, but just click log in with a different account. Your child will need to log-in to their Office 360/Microsoft account that the school district has set up for them.  That username log-in is firstname.lastname@students.cobbk12.org  and the password is the student’s school password. We may be giving assignments in BrainpopJr, DreamBox, GA Studies Weekly, and the HMH GA Science textbooks through Clever.
Students who complete some of these daily assignments will earn Dojo points as we will be able to see who has completed them.
Other assignments may be given in Raz-Kids or the Cobb Digital Library where they can access PebbleGo and Bookflix, as well as other online digital resources.  Go to www.mackinvia.com, choose Addison Elementary and click log-in; then students will log-in using their student computer number (they almost all know this!) and their school password.
